Art poster project

Hello again! For this project in Digital Design, we had to create a poster for one of the art departments in our school. For my class, we had to create an art history poster, so with Photoshop, I created the poster above. It was relatively simple. All I had to do was pick a few pictures and a background to accompany them, but the project still gave me some trouble.
In the end, I think my project ended up all right. It's definitely not how I had pictured it, but I guess it's ok. If I could change something, it would probably be the art pictures. I spent the majority of this project (about a week of classes) just trying to make those pictures look decent, and I still failed. Other than that, I love how my poster ended up.
Until next time, Paige ;)

Movie Poster Project

Hello again! For this project in Digital Design, we were supposed to create a poster for a made-up movie in Photoshop. We were supposed to use original pictures for the main characters, and use layes styles, different fonts, etc. for other things.
This project was the best yet, although it had me stressing. I changed my movie idea 5 or so times until I got to this one. I LOVE how my project turned out and I think it is definitely the best one I have done all semester. There is nothing I would change about my final project

Cyborg project

For this project, we were supposed to take a picture of our face and make it seem as if we were part cyborg underneath by removing parts of our face (with Photoshop). I decided to take a "cracking" approach and make it seem as if my face has aged and chipped away to reveal the machinery underneath.
I loved this project. As the semester progresses, the projects get harder and longer to make. I generally don't like difficult projects, but this one was fun and challenging. There is nothing I would change about the outcome of my picture.

What's on your mind project

Hello again :) This is yet another project for Digital Design. This project took even more time than the silhouette one. Veeery time consuming, but kind of fun. (all done in Photoshop) The purpose of this assignment was to show what went on in our heads in the picture. We were supposed to "cut" off our head and make it seem as if the items were pouring from our mind.
Once again, I hated my original picture. I like the concept I had, but I think my picture (the one actually of ME) looks terrible and ruins the picture. That is the only think I'd change about this picture.
Until next time, Paige ;)

Silhouette Design project

Hello again :) This time in Digital Design, we were supposed to take the pictures taken (and used for the Famous for 15 min. project) and make a picture with one main original picture in front, and the other two pictures in silhouette form in back. This project took forever to finish. It took me nearly two class periods just to cut out the pictures from their original backgrounds. Then, another class period was used to create the background. The final part, putting the pictures onto the background and completing the picture took a small amount of time.
I made this project on Photoshop. I loved making this project, and I loved the end result even more. I would change nothing about how it turned out. :) (except for maybe taking completely different pictures. I loved my design, but hated my pictures)
Until next time. Paige ;)

Famous for 15 Minutes project

Hello again :) For this project, we were supposed to create a picture similar to the style of Andy Warhol. We were supposed to take a picture of ourselves, put four copies of the picture onto the same page, and color them in certain ways. I used Photoshop to make the final product.
In the end, I reaaaaally didn't like this picture. The original pictures used for this project were taken in class, and I think I took horrible pictures, therefore my final project didn't turn out that great. Besides that, I liked the color schemes I picked. :) If i had more time, I would've re-taken the picture and started over.
Until next time, Paige ;)

Bottlecap Heart Project

For this project in my Digital Design class, we had to design some kind of heart to put into a bottlecap. I decided to make this design, a kind of plain-ish but decorative style of heart.I used Photoshop to make the heart, along with all of the colors and the background. This project was pretty easy and only took me about one and a half class periods.
I love how my heart turned out, but I would have spent a bit more time on making the colors agree if I had more time.
Until next time, Paige ;)

Self Portriat project

Here's the next project that we did in my Digital Design class: a self portrait. The special thing about these self portraits is that they are made only out of text. Every single marking that I made on the picture is some form of text seen on the keyboard, which is wayyy harder than it sounds.
I made this project with Photoshop, but i only used the text feature. I had fun doing this project, but it was kind of time consuming. In the end, I think it was worth the effort though. I love the way my final project turned out, although I would've preferred to spend a bit more time on some finishing touches, such as fine tuning the hair a bit.. but oh well.
Until next time: Paige ;)

Sign Parody project

This is one of my first projects that I completed for my Digital Design class. We were supposed to make a parody of a known sign: for mine, I used a hiking sign, and I turned it into the sign seen here. I'm not really sure what the whole meaning behind it is.... I just wanted to make something funny. I mean, what's funnier than a couple of old people ambling along carrying some guns? =P
To make my gorgeous sign, I used Photoshop to copy down the real sign of the hikers, then I added and took away a few things to make the final product.
One of my big problems with this project was trying to make it look like how I pictured it. I really wanted to add quite a few more details to the people, such as a hat or something to make them look more like old people, but I ran out of time, but in the end I think it turned out alright, although I still think it needs a bit more work.
Until next time: Paige ;)
